Corrections Policy
How we fix what we get wrong
When an article contains an error, we correct it and we don't hide that it happened.
What gets corrected
Any factual error: a wrong deadline, dollar amount, program rule, name, or link. That includes errors readers catch and errors we find ourselves during routine rechecks of time-sensitive content.
How a correction is handled
The error is fixed in the article, and the "Updated" date moves to the date of the correction. Substantive corrections — a changed number, a changed rule, a removed claim — are recorded in the article's update history so readers can see what changed and when. Minor edits that don't change meaning, like fixing a typo or a broken link, are made without a history entry.
We don't delete or rewrite articles to hide errors. If a correction changes the meaning of a section, the section is updated to say what is true now, and the update history notes the change.
Report an error
Email editors@summitretirementguide.com with the article title, the error you found, and a source for the correct information if you have one. We read every message and correct confirmed errors promptly.
